Schools respond to the words they are given. “I’m worried about my son” gets you sympathy and a pamphlet. A formal request, phrased as a formal request, triggers a documented process the school is required to follow. This is one page with the five sentences on it — plus what the plan is called in your province, and what you can ask for while you’re still on a waitlist.
One page: your child’s early warning signs, the two or three things that reliably empty the tank, and exactly who does what when it hits — so in the moment, nobody is improvising. Fill it in on a calm day. Put it where the whole family can see it.
